One botanical honesty note. The modern genus Daphne, the pink-flowered shrub this anchor's hue matches, isn't the laurel of the myth. Linnaeus reused the name for a different plant entirely. So enjoy the pink, credit the nymph, and know that Apollo wasn't, in fact, chasing a pink shrub.
