Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Rhapsody’s website and tools: the Palette by Rhapsody Color plugin for Figma, the account service at app.rhapsodycolor.com, and future surfaces that use the same account (a web app and an Adobe version are on the roadmap). Rhapsody is made and run by Rhapsody Color LLC (“Rhapsody,” “I,” “me”). By using the tools, you agree to these terms. They’re in plain English on purpose.

The service

Rhapsody is software for generating and working with color. It’s actively being built, so I may update, improve, or change features over time. Some features need a paid plan.

Your account

You can generate palettes without an account. An account is free, and it’s what saves your work and carries Pro across surfaces, so a purchase on one unlocks it everywhere. A few ground rules:

  • Keep your sign-in method (your Google account or email inbox) secure. It is your access.
  • Plans are single-user: one person per account. No sharing a Pro account across a team (team plans may come later).
  • You can disconnect the plugin or delete your account anytime. Deletion is covered in the Privacy Policy.

What you make is yours

The palettes and color values you generate with Rhapsody are yours to use however you like, including in commercial work. I claim no ownership over your designs.

What’s mine

Rhapsody’s tools, including the ART color model, the Orchestra engine, and the related technology and design, belong to Rhapsody Color LLC and are protected, including by patent-pending rights. You’re welcome to use the tools and everything they produce; you may not copy, reverse-engineer, or try to extract the underlying methods.

Fair use of the tools

Please don’t misuse the service. Don’t try to disrupt or overload it, access it without authorization, share account access to dodge paying, or use it to break the law or harm others’ rights. I may apply reasonable rate limits to keep the service healthy for everyone.

Plans & payment

The Free plan is free: unlimited palette generation, no card required. Pro is a subscription: $6 a month, or $54 a year, which is 25% off the monthly price, sold by Paddle, Rhapsody's merchant of record. Paddle runs the checkout, charges your card, and handles sales tax and invoices under Paddle’s buyer terms. Prices are in US dollars; if you’re outside the US, Paddle may charge you in your local currency at its conversion rate, and shows you the exact total before you pay.

  • No trial to remember. Subscribe whenever you like. Your first charge is taken at checkout, and Paddle shows you the exact total, including any sales tax, before you pay. If Rhapsody isn’t for you, request a full refund within 14 days of the charge; no reason needed.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
  • Managing & canceling. Everything self-service (update your card, switch plans, see invoices, cancel) lives in the billing portal, reachable from your account page. Canceling stops future charges; Pro stays on through the period you’ve already paid for.
  • Failed payments. If a charge fails, Paddle retries for about two weeks and I keep Pro on during that window. If it can’t be collected, the account drops to Free. Nothing is deleted.
  • Price changes. Pricing may change, especially before general availability. Changes apply going forward, never to time you’ve already paid for, and I’ll give existing subscribers notice before a renewal at a new price.

Refunds

There is no trial to remember, and no deadline to miss. If you subscribe and change your mind, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the charge. Email me at jeff@rhapsodycolor.com or request it directly through Paddle. Refunds are handled by Paddle, Rhapsody's merchant of record, and returned to your original payment method under Paddle’s Refund Policy; once a refund is issued, Pro access ends. This doesn’t affect any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer law.

Disclaimers & liability

Rhapsody is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. I work hard to keep the color math correct and the tools reliable, but I can’t promise they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rhapsody isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and its total liability is capped at what you’ve paid Rhapsody in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending things

You can stop using Rhapsody or delete your account anytime. I can suspend or close accounts that break these terms (the “fair use” section above). If that ever happens on a paid plan for anything other than abuse, I’ll refund the unused time.

Changes

I may update these terms; if I do, I’ll change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the tools means you accept the current version.
